while looking around the knowledge base, I realized it was broken. The topics don't seem to work, they give a really long error message that I haven't bothered to copy in here. Anyone else notice that?

Yes i realised this. It was broken from the first day. Unless if there are no topicks in there are the moment and users can help builting it up with writing about each feature but if this is the kace it should be more clear to us and more explanation of how we can contribute to it.

apparently we can't contribute to it, since we, uh, don't have the knowledge of the site? lol

Until it is up and functional, maybe the word beta or something similar should be included in the link text on the menu to assist new users who may try and access the feature and think they are doing something wrong when it doesn't work.

The exact error is:
Warning: fopen(/home/zonebbs/zonebbs/data//glossary.txt) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/zonebbs/zonebbs/web/kb.php on line 21
This is a PHP error, and to the best of my knowledge, means that there is something wrong in the PHP code of the KB. It works if you click "View all x Questions in this category."

Thanks for letting us know that clicking on the view all works. I didn't think doing that. I was only clicking on the individual questions.
After reading all the help files i think a good job was done for beginners. A small suggestion that i made before is that something that new users would want to know is what the different sounds mean. A link to the system sounds page should be available for the users to go there and listen to the different sounds and what they mean.
I know they could find it easily in the main menu but blind people sometimes don't like to explore things if they don't know what they do. I realised it when i was at College for the blind and some internet users or even computer users were at a very beginner stage and didn't do anything on their own if the IT teacher didn't tell them to do it so a short explanation file and a link in the knolage page would be good.

perhaps he put the wrong path just for when you click a link and put the right one for when you do view all?
Perhaps there could be a submit form thingy so we could be considered for helping with it? i mean just look at kais html post!
BEN.

also, i noticed there was a q and a board. what's the point of that when nobody answers the posts or seems to go there? maybe that's just me, but.

OK, I feel kinda dumb. That glossary file never got copied over from the testing area to the site. Sorry bout that one.
